North East Food and Drink
Here at the Brain, Performance and Nutrition Research Centre we've recently completed a project identifying research and professional development needs within the North East's food and drink industry.
We found that amongst the 17,000 people employed in the industry in the region, just 11% are higher skilled employees. This is compared to a national average of 17%.
With the capacity to offer training in various aspects of nutrition, diet, brain and behaviour, research methods, human psychopharmacology, physiology and sport nutrition, we’re keen to develop a range of flexible training services in discussion with the industry.
We're also looking to conduct collaborative research with regional partners. If you’re interested in bespoke training events, flexible routes to accredited or non-accredited learning or in collaborative research, then please get in touch.
