About

Anthea graduated from the University of Sunderland with a BSc (Hons) in Applied Physiology. In her third year she undertook a research project examining the effects of heavy metals on oxygen consumption in microsomes. Anthea is a specialist technician and her role involves analysing biological samples for numerous analytes such as glucose; cortisol, testosterone and insulin. She has contributed to journal articles that include,amongst others, looking at the effects of caffeine; sage and resveratrol on cognitive function and mood.
