About

Nick Neave is a Reader within the Division of Psychology and is currently acting as Postgraduate (Research) Coordinator, and is also Programme Leader for the M.Res course. He is Chair of the School Ethics Committee and is a member of the Graduate School Committee. He contributes to the teaching at Undergraduate level, acting as Module Tutor for ‘Introduction to Biological Psychology’ (level 4) and delivers two options: ‘Evolutionary Psychology’ (level 5) and ‘Hormones & Behaviour’ (level 6).

Research

He is a member of the Brain, Performance and Nutrition Research Centre and his research interests include Associations between prenatal / circulating sex steroids and physical / psychological characteristics, the ‘home advantage’, hydration status and cognitive performance, and human mate preferences. He is currently acting as principal supervisor to two PhD students and as second supervisor to one PhD student.
